[Craig's head enters the frame on the right hand side of the frame so he's visible from only the chin up along the side of the frame. Another Craig's head enters the frame on the lefthand side of the frame. The two heads move up and down the sides of the frame as they engage in a game of Pong. The Craig on the right scores a point. The Craig on the left leaves the frame.]
[Craig on the right side:] Ha ha! Yeah! [His head leaves the frame.]
[Wheezy Waiter beard intro]
[slides in/singing rug]
Hey beardlovers. It's October 14th. Here we are again in my lovely apartment. [looks around] Hey lovely beard pillow. Hey lovely lamp. Hey lovely t-rex doll.
[Voice:] Hey Craig.
[Craig makes an intense face as scary music plays.] How does t-rex know my name?
[Voice:] No, it's me. The lamp.
Oh phew! I was worried for a second I was losing my mind. Hey, did I say it was October 14th? It's John Travolta's birthday!
[A clone emerges from the bathroom.] Did you say it's John Travolta's birthday. [Sexy clone starts singing, strutting and flipping light on and off repeatedly in the kitchen like it's a strobe light.]
[Craig sighs:] Every year.
[Closeup of Sexy Clone's feet strutting. He continues singing. As he enters the living room, he starts doing a disco dance (the one with the pointing) and sings:] Going nowhere... Somebody help me...
[Craig looks at camera and shakes his head]
[Sexy clone continues singing 'Staying Alive.' Dances.] Whether you're my mother or my sister or [mumbles], stayin' alive. Staying alive. [mumbles] Staying alive. Staying alive. [Sexy clone makes a kissy face, sucking in his cheeks as he dances.]
[Craig:] Oh that's right. It's not John Travolta's birthday. It's JOEY Travolta's birthday.
[Sexy clone:] What? Oh. [He turns to go.]
Geez, I can't believe I did that. On purpose! [Makes an intense face, which involves opening his mouth wide. He raises his eyebrows a few times and they boing. A leprechaun scurries up to his open mouth. Craig closes it, sending the leprechaun flying.] Stupid leprechaun! Always after my gold teeth!
Yes, today is the birthday of John Travolta's brother Joey Travolta. [picture of him onscreen] Oops. I... got a picture of his dad there. Oh no. That's actually his brother. He's four years older than John. [picture of John onscreen below his brother] Four years.
That's the same distance in age as my older brother. Carl Benzine. [Picture of a crazy-looking guy with grey hair and beard.]
Carl's dead.
You know what? I don't wanna hog all the limelight from my brother like John Travolta did with his brother. So let me tell you about him. Carl was a great man. He used to have this thing he always said... what was it?
[Closeup of the picture and a voice says:] How's my hair?!!
Someone shoulda bought that man a mirror.
So here's to you, my good brother. May you live a long and happy... wait, you're already... that's right, you're already dead.
So here's to you Gary. [pause] Carl.
What exactly happened in today's video?
[Viewer whistles the outro theme and winks (ding)]
My band Driftless Pony Club is playing a show tomorrow night at The Subterranean. Info in the doobly-doo. And then we play some days later in Milwaukee and Decatur. Decatur, Illinois. And then today at 2 pm central we'll be on the radio. And you can listen to it on the internet. Or on the radio! Link and channel in the doobly-doo. Give it a listen. Gary would have wanted you to. [pause] Carl.
[Closeup of the picture and a voice says:] How's my hair?!!
